WINNING VOLUNTEERS ARE FOUND
AT THE PINK PALACE FAMILY OF MUSEUMS
The Memphis Pink Palace Family of Museums has excellent volunteers as well as an award winning volunteer program. Representatives from The Pink Palace Family were honored at this year’s Spirit of Giving Awards.
A dedicated team from the University of Memphis Physics Department (Dr. Robert Marchini, John Daffron, Ted Clarke, Lewis O’Kelly, and Judy Daffron) worked over two years, fixing our 1930s era Clyde W. Parke Miniature Circus. For this wonderful spirit, the Pink Palace Circus Team won 3rd Place for Small Group Volunteers of the Year.
It takes a special person to recruit, train and administer all the volunteers that help run all our exhibits, programs and IMAX® films. That is Diane McKinna, our Volunteer Coordinator, who does it all with a smile. For this wonderful spirit, the Pink Palace Family of Museums won 2nd Place in the Outstanding Volunteer Program of the Year category.
Congratulations to all Mid-South volunteers. We are honored that some of the best choose to volunteer at the Memphis Pink Palace Family of Museums. We could not do it without you.
MAKE HISTORY, SCIENCE, AND NATURE COME ALIVE!
Bring lively learning experiences to mid-south residents! Learn new things!
As a volunteer for the museum, you will meet people from all over and learn more about history, science and nature. You will help others and gain new skills. Training, invitations to special events, and discounts in the gift shops are some volunteer perks. You can also earn individual and family memberships as you increase your hours of service.
For 75 years we have provided our visitors with educational experiences to enhance their lives. We would love for YOU to be a part of that “never ending discovery.”
