CAN YOU DIG IT?
Saturday, May 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, Members of the Pink Palace Family of Museums are in for a treat! You’re invited to our special Members Day at Coon Creek. Enjoy a fun day outside learning to find fossils, taking nature walks, working on crafts and more! Just bring your family and current membership card along with a picnic lunch, insect repellent and sunscreen. We’ll supply the digging tools and instructions. Join us at Coon Creek Science Center. Just follow our simple directions:
• Drive east from Memphis on Interstate 40. Take exit 18 (Stage Road) onto Highway 64 East. Follow Highway 64 through Somerville, Bolivar and Selmer almost to Adamsville, TN.
• Just before you enter Adamsville, turn left on State Highway 224 North. The turn is just before Adamsville High School. Drive on Highway 224 North for 9 miles.
• Turn right on the newly-paved road. A sign indicates the way. Follow the road until it dead ends into another road. You can see the house at the Science Center ahead of you to the left.
• Turn left on that road, then immediately right into the driveway of Coon Creek Science Center.
