Flash Gordon is an American football hero who is skyjacked aboard Dr. Hans Zarkov's rocketship along with Miss Dale Arden. The three are drawn into the influence of the planet Mongo, ruled by Emperor Ming the Merciless. The evil Ming has been testing Earth with unnatural disasters, and deeming our world a threat to his rule. Flash must avoid the amorous attentions of Ming's daughter, and unite the warring kingdoms of Mongo to rescue Dale and save our world.

Forbidden Planet in 2D

An expedition is sent from Earth to Altair in the constellation of Aquilae (some 17 light years from Earth) to discover what happened to a colony of settlers on its fourth planet, Altair-4. What they discover is how and why an alien race of geniuses destroyed itself while leaving their technology intact.

A naturalist, Professor Aronnax, his assistant, Conseil, and a professional whaler, Ned Land, join an American expedition which attempts to unravel the mystery.

For five years the crew of the PALOMINO has ranged through deep space, searching for evidence of alien life--with no result. The commander of the CYGNUS has a rendezvous with the incredibly hellish forces of the collapsar--and he plans to take the PALOMINO'S crew along on his doomed adventure.
