Special events held on selected dates highlight the Museum’s permanent or changing exhibits through fun, informative activities for all ages.  Discovery Days are FREE with Museum exhibit admission.

Birds, Bats & Bugs
Fall/Winter Discovery Days feature lively learning demonstrations in the Museum’s Natural History exhibits. Trace Cycles of Nature as your students investigate birds, explore bats and examine bugs.

The Bison: American Icon
Explore the meaning and significance of the bison form the Plains Indian culture ot the 1800s through the commercial and national symbol of the present.  Along the way, trace the dramatic changes in the bison and its habitat that causes its near extinction.
