Nature Explorers Summer Camp at Lichterman Nature Center
Nature Explorers Camp (June 4-8 and June 11-15, 2018)
Opossums and turtles and rabbits….oh my! Campers enjoy activities such as dissecting owl pellets; sampling lake water to see who lives there; playing Plant Life Bingo, Mammal Trivia Whiz, Reptile Trivia Whiz and others (with prizes); creating their own bird with tree cookies; maneuvering through a leaf identification and animal skull maze; playing outside games learning how deer communicate and how many bears can live in one habitat; and various other nature crafts and games. Campers will enjoy nature walks at Lichterman using binoculars to spot birds, nets to catch insects, and plaster to cast animal tracks along the way. Different live animals are introduced every day for campers to meet and touch. This camp is not to miss for nature loving kids out there!
