Students will learn about planets, comets, and asteroids through colorful images and learn a fun and helpful song.

Follow the Drinking Gourd
Follow a fictional family of the 1800’s on their daring escape from a life of slavery. Learn about the way the earth moves causing seasonal changes they would experience along their journey. Student will also learn the classic song Follow the Drinking Gourd and the secret meaning behind the lyrics that may have helped former slaves escape to freedom.

The Cowboy Astronomer
Mosey along on a folksy tour of the night sky with Baxter Black, a noted cowboy poet, humorist, and story teller. He has a unique down-home style as he relates experiences from his youth to help show how the earth rotates. He talks about different types of objects in space including stars, constellations, nebulae, galaxies, and black holes. There is even a Native American tale about the seasons.

The Planets
Take a guided tour of all the objects in our solar system based on the latest scientific information. This program is recommended for more advanced students.

Our Sky Tonight
