Internships at the Pink Palace Museum

EXHIBITIONS DEPARTMENT INTERN

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS APRIL 5TH

This internship is part of the upcoming exhibit, “Chinese of the Mid-South” at the Pink Palace Museum. The exhibit runs February 2021 until January 2022 and is developed collaboratively using a “co-creative” process with members of the local Chinese community. The intern is responsible for developing a complimentary website for the exhibit using a website builder site such as Weebly or Word Press. Part of this process includes adding oral history recordings (with their transcriptions) and digital community artifacts archive. For the other part, the intern is responsible for developing additional content for the website, which can include researching, writing and publishing content to expand and compliment text panels in the exhibit.

Skills: The intern should have strong writing and research skills; be organized, detail oriented, creative –minded, comfortable working at computer/desk environment for long periods of time, be digital design/graphics oriented. Interest or background in web design, web journalism or similar field preferred.
