See the Canyon Diablo Meteorite. The fragment is approximately 4.6 billion years old, the same age as the sun and moon.  It is part of a larger meteorite which struck near Winslow, AZ some 50,000 years ago leaving a crater 200 feet deep and 4200 feet wide.  Scientists estimated that the main body of the meteorite was 100 feet in diameter.
