Ready. Set. Open!
Pink Palace Mansion is now open!
After nearly two years of renovation and construction, the highly anticipated re-opening of the Pink Palace Mansion took place December 8. The re-opening was the premiere of the Mansion’s new and refurbished exhibits including a totally reconstructed original Piggly Wiggly Store replica and Country Store, along with a restored Clyde Parke Miniature Circus.
The Clyde Parke Miniature Circus exhibit resides on the second story of the Mansion which has not been open to the public since 1978.
The Pink Palace Museum has brought back some of its most popular exhibits and artifacts to the Mansion such as the Cossitt Gallery that will recreate the first museum in Memphis. There are over 600 artifacts on display similar to how they were shown in the late19th century.
In addition to bringing back to life some of the Museum’s favorite exhibits, the Mansion houses plush new event rental facilities, state-of-the art lighting and a refurbished grand staircase.
